Surrounded by two beautiful rivers, the historic community of Dunnellon lies centered on the eastern flank of Florida’s rich Nature Coast. Dunnellon earns its reputation not only for its spectacular rivers, springs, vegetation and wildlife, but also its quaint historic downtown filled with cafés, antique and art shops, and its bike trails— all located just 15 miles from the warm salt waters of the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s Nature Coast.
Incorporated on April 21, 1891, the historic community of Dunnellon is situated between two beautiful rivers, the spring fed Rainbow River and the tannin colored Withlacoochee River. Dunnellon offers a host of special events throughout the year, and celebrates its history in phosphate mining in April with its annual Boomtown Days event.
The Dunnellon Chamber and Business Association serves a diverse audience of citizens, including community leaders, entrepreneurs, business executives, employees, and educators. It provides leadership and resources to local businesses and organizations and acts as a catalyst for providing information and activities for our members and the region.
